Your adventure starts....where? Definitely Guatemala. I spent some time there in 2013 volunteering at a school teaching English to some of the local children and I fell in love. It’s such a beautiful country with equally wonderful and kind people.
A great moment for you: Zip-lining in Monteverde, Costa Rica. It was incredible to be so high up in the canopy, getting to feel the wind and humidity as you reach speeds of up to fifty miles an hour. That was so much fun.
Your passions outside of work: There are a lot of passions that I hold dear. Volunteering would have to be my first, whether with the homeless population or with senior citizens, it’s always good to give back. Another passion is my family, of course. I also love photography and being outdoors. Hiking is incredibly special to me.
A quote that inspires you: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” – Albert Einstein. This is such a great reminder to always look at issues with a fresh perspective.
Why I live in Utah: Are you kidding? Have you looked outside? I love the outdoors and Utah offers everything. I love the mountains and the incredible hiking that we have here. We also have so many different landscapes here; deserts, mountains, etc. It is amazing and so beautiful.
Best place I’ve lived: I grew up in a small town of about 1,200 people in Wyoming, right next to the Wind River mountain range. The scenery is breathtaking, and the people are very nice.
First job: I started serving at a steak house in Wyoming when I was 15. It was a lot of fun, and required a lot of running around.
