Submit Your Story

If you’ve worked as a locum tenens physician, you probably have a great story or two to tell. We publish stories regularly in our electronic newsletter, Hemispheres, here on our website in the Real Locum Stories section, and on our Locums for a Small World blog. You don’t have to be a professional writer, just tell your story from the heart – and include a photo or two if you have them. To submit your story, read our general rules then fill out the following form and click on Submit.

General Rules for Real Locum Story Submissions

  1. Your Real Locum Story should be approximately 400 words or less.
  2. Photos are welcome; digital photos must be at least 300 dpi.
  3. Please include a short bio (75 words or less) in addition to your story. Example: Dr. Neville Wilson is a Family Medical Practitioner from South Africa. He and his wife, Sandy, have raised four children and are seasoned travelers. In addition to his locum tenens stint for GMS in rural Australia, Dr. Wilson has practiced medicine in urban East London, remote Zululand, within the isolated Aboriginal communities of Northern Manitoba, Canada and is now practicing in Ireland. He plans to locum again in either Australia or the Cayman Islands.
