Do I Qualify?
The locations we currently recruit doctors for—Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the Caribbean and the Pacific Islands—accept doctors from highly developed medical systems that mirror the sophistication and breadth of their own systems. Officially, this means any doctor whose medical school is listed in the WHO Directory of Medical Schools or the ECFMG FAIMER Directory. Unofficially, however, only doctors with recent, extensive post-graduate training or experience are accepted by the hospitals and practices we work with outside of the United States.
In order to qualify for a visa and medical registration in Australia and New Zealand, you must be currently licensed to practice as a doctor in your country of residence, and you must be in good standing (no sanctions, letters of reprimand, etc.) with medical licensing boards, the legal system and the hospitals where you have practiced. Because qualifications vary from country to country, we recommend you call one of our professional Global Medical recruiters with more specific questions, or send an email to: email@example.com.
Doctors of Osteopathy
Australia and New Zealand will accept U.S. trained Doctors of Osteopathy, although you must have obtained your osteopathic degree from a medical school listed in either the WHO Directory of Medical Schools or the ECFMG FAIMER Directory and meet all of the requirements listed above.
